why does my belkin modem/router keep on dropping out all of a sudden

my belkin router/modem model number F9K1113v1 has of late decided to drop in and out of its connection to the internet. s.p

Check the internet connection without the router, see if it works, might be your ISP.
If the problem persists only while using the router, then it might be faulty (hardware or soft wise).
It might be the router power adapted, if u can try with another power adapter.

If so far the problem persists then reset your router to default, update the firmare and reconfigure it.
