Hi there !

I want to build a gaming pc under 300 dollars and the options that I have in cpu + gpu combo are:

1-Intel celeron g1840 + nvidia gt 740 ftw
2-athlon x4 860k + radeon r7 250x
3-AMD apu A10-7850k

who is better option, pro and cons of each combo and how perform compared to xbox one or ps4. 1080p is not a must.

This is my firts gaming pc build, I need help.

thanks!

Number 2 will give you the best overall performance but number 1 gives you the most options for upgrading in future.

With rebates, this will outperform 1. and 3. by a long way and be similar to number 2 but with more upgrade options...

For this price you won't be able to play much top tier games, but if I was to use this as a starting place I would do the APU A10-7850k you could always add a real GPU later on when you have the available funds.

There is no such thing as a "gaming pc under 300". Technically there is, but you really should be spending more. Its like asking for a "1000 dollar car". Technically you can find them but they are awful. Lol of course 1080p is not a must, its not possible with that. Expect to run games at 1333x768 or lower with that build on low/medium settings.

At this budget you might honestly be better off getting a console as you'll only manage low settings on most games. You'd need at least an R7 260X to get decent performance at low-medium settings at 1080p.

LAUGHS.. Honestly the Xbox and PS4 will tear any of those apart in comparison. Comparision being that a PS4 for example can play COD:AW at 60FPS 1080P on HIGH settings, you can't even LOAD COD:AW with those rigs.

PAY TO PLAY on PC, either triple your investment to have a 'decent' gaming rig (as your comparing to console) or just buy into the cheaper console platform. Heck you can grab a PS3 for UNDER 150 now and play CURRENT TITLES more then those rigs can, even if down to 720P.
