My GTX 970 comes in tomorrow from EVGA. Now I know how to out the GPU in of course, just uninstall and use the onboard to install the new drivers. But I have a hunch that I might have some wattage issues. I know my new card is much more power friendly and I am getting a 30-40% power increase. But my CPU is 600 watts, it's a corsair CX600. It is compatible but I am nervous about wrecking stuff.

I want to be my own technician, I know risk are always here. I am afraid I might have a blow out.

Please PM me for my skype, I would prefer direct chat for this situation. I will give my specs over skype.

Sorry for the error. No lol of course the CPU isn't 600 watts, I meant power supply. I am thinking about a new CPU later, but I will need a new PSU and those are dangerous to uninstall, but I will do it.

I need to learn how to OC and I heard it's not the best thing to do.

overclocking is not that hard

if you have a good cpu cooler then its perfectly safe

Right now not happy at all. My GTX 970 hasn't even changed my games. Yes the PCI is in place and it's sitting fine Windows detected it and did its work. The I got the latest drivers from Nvidia. So........ I fail to see why Metro redux is not going to 80 fps as shown online. Why arkham city is failing miserably. I did something wrong.

overclock your cpu a little.. see if it helps
