Is cooler master GX 550w enough for Gigabyte Gtx 970?

I have a cooler master Gx series 550 watts power supply. Is it safe to run a gtx 970 on it? I have zero budget for a new power supply. Besides gtx 970 Gigabyte version requires only 170 watts on full load
Also I have a core i5, non k so i wont overclock it
Same with the Gtx 970 i wont overclock it either
Help guys

I read the Psu requirements of Gtx 970, In many charts the whiole system with a gtx 970 used around 310 watts, Dont you think that this Psu is capable of delivering 310 watts constantly? It has a 5 year warranty too
