My Hard Drive Just gone Blank, Not all of it just My personal drive (D:\) , Drive C:\ and E:\ are just FINE.

How? and Why?
and Please Help

I put my System on Sleep Mode and went out like 3 Hours and come back and it was Fully Empty. Just my Personal Drive (D:\)

This is my HDD:
WD Caviar Green 2TB 3.5" Internal Hard Drive (WD20EZRX)

Try scanning it with a program like R-Studio (download here) and see if it finds the filesystem. It could be just some corruption that Windows can't interpret.

Hey Thenightmare12. I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with your drive. @DataMedic is probably right about the issue you're having. Hopefully you'll be able to recover the partition with his solution. You could also try accessing the drive with Linux Live CD/USB or try some of the methods from this thread here: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-1644496/lost-data-recovery.html

It is not normal for a partition to become RAW all on its own and this might have nothing to do with the drive itself, but just to be on the safe side I'd recommend that you download Data Lifeguard (DLG) and run both tests to see what's the situation with the HDD: Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows
But do this after you've recover your data.

Examine the SMART report using a tool such as CrystalDiskInfo.

Look for reallocated, pending, or uncorrectable sectors.

It looks like you only scanned the E: which is a logical volume (AKA one partition of the drive). You should instead select to scan the entire drive which that volume is located under. It will usually have the drives model number listed (starts with ST if it's Seagate WD if it's Western Digital etc.). That way it will find the D: which you are looking for.

I'm gonna PM you with my Skype info. It will be faster to talk that way.

IMHO DMDE (freeware disc editor) has a more user friendly Partitions window.

If you can show us the found partitions, there may be a simple solution involving a few mouse-clicks.
