When I move my mouse quickly in Minecraft, especially if I make a fast 180 to shoot behind me and try to 180 back, the cross hairs are not coming close to the expected movement of the mouse. I am getting about 1/3 of the expected camera movement. My FPS stays at a steady 60 and does not differentiate in any way when this happens. This does not happen in other games such as counter strike where I need to make fast camera turns. I have checked and triple checked my windows settings, re-installed all of my drivers as well as java and minecraft twice, tried a different mouse, a different mouse pad, tried using different clients, as well as lowest settings. Optifine did not help at all either. I am completely lost as to what I should try next. Here is my DxDiag:

Ummm...I did that previous fix, and a fast test on my way out the door and it seemed fine at the time. Just got home, and when I went into game, I noticed it has not changed at all. Can we unflag this from resolved please?

So the reg fix did not do it after all =[

This was not a problem until I installed a new I5 and mobo a week ago. Is there perhaps something that is not processing java correctly?

I did.

The more I get to know this issue, the more it seems variable, though I am not sure what on. At times it seems barely noticeable, at others, it seems reallly bad. I can be in areas where one might expect gpu lag and it acts fine, or it gets screwey. Other times I can be out in the wide open where you would expect the best frame rates and it lags when I do fast movements with the camera, and other times it doesn't...but I don't lose FPS when it happens...

Could it be the gpu?

frame rate is a steady 60, there is absolutely no deviation in fps when this happens. Could it be something with the cpu then? Perhaps a bios setting to get things running more smoothly...I really don't know this is out of my depth...

So, this is definitely a come and go issue. Over the course of yesterday, there were times when I could maneuver the camera without this lag issue happening at all for a decent period of time. Through most of the day however, the mouse lag was very real. I don't even think we can call it lag, I think its a lack of responsiveness from the mouse...

Thank you so much!!! Minecraft had been running suboptimally for me, so I tried Optifine. General performance and FPS improved, but then I was getting severely debilitating mouse lag rendering the game unplayable. Your link fixed it! Ya saved muh gaaame~ thank you thank you thank you
