For gaming #2 will perform better. I would put the i5 4460 in the 2nd pc since its cheaper and newer.

Not a lot of difference.
The second with a 280X might be stronger in most games by a bit.
But it is suggested that it use a 600w psu:

I'd personally go with PC #1 as it has a better procesor and GPU in my opinion for only an extra 5 quids.

Well.. It only has a better processor, and a 280 whereas the 2nd build has a 280X. I'd still go with the first build, however, as it allows for easier upgrading. Also, why don't you just go with this ram!

Am I the only one that is confused!? The 4440 is more expensive than the 4460 and the seagate is cheaper than the Hitachi

Meh.. It's been like this for a couple times. I don't know why there's a 4440 in build 2 when the 4460 is cheaper, though. It's like the OP wanted both the builds to be mostly different..
