hello. I want to ask for some advices about building a new pc for around 1000 including taxes. The thing is that i really want to have the i5-4690 and gtx 970 in this build, but i need help with the other parts. My budget is around 1000 and i really want to build this next week or so.
Here are the parts that i can in my current pc.

Asus GTX 560
Motherboard Asus M5A99X EVO
Processor AMD fx-6100
power supply. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371050&cm_re=antec_900_hcg_900-_-17-371-050-_-Product
Ram 2X http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148435&Tpk=n82e16820148435

I think i can still use my power supply. I dont really care about modular power supply. I can use my current ram and add 8 more, but i dont know which ram can be compatible with my current one.
Also i want to have a SSD and regular hard drive. Also I would like a tower without lights, since they really annoying at night. Thanks in advance for the help

or MSI GTX 970 is shorter .

Solution
Which case is it? There's a good chance you don't need to replace it.
I'll assume the current system has a HDD, so which one is it? Again, there's a good chance it can be reused.
The memory is fine, you'll get a small performance increase with faster RAM with a Haswell or Devils Canyon i5 but DDR3 1600 is fast enough unless you want to squeeze every last FPS out of the rig.
No point in changing the PSU, that Antec is fine.
Asrock make some good, fairly inexpensive Z97, motherboards, as do MSI but only opt for them if you go for a 'K' (overclock friendly) CPU like the i5 4670K or 4690K otherwise a cheaper 'H' series motherboard and i5 4460 will be just fine: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,review-32901.html
The reference coolers supplied by Intel and AMD do the job but they can get noisy under load, so I suggest you add a aftermarket CPU cooler into the mix, the little Coolermaster 212 Evo is VERY popular: Decent cooling, even with a moderate overclock, not too noisy and inexpensive-I'm running one on my stock clocked i5 4690K and can't hear it, even under full load.
What's wrong with upping the CPU to an 8 core 83XX FX and overclocking it? The motherboard supports them: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A99X_EVO/HelpDesk_CPU/
And yes, I'll wholeheartedly recommend the GTX970, whatever route you choose to take with the build/upgrade.

EDIT: Nice one, Rockie_ :) But I'd drop the XFX PSU, it's not needed. Not sure about the Xeon build, they're powerful parts but better suited to industrial/scientific number crunching and servers workloads than gaming.
