My new pc (about 2 months old) just went to the blue sceen of death, and the message BAD_POOL_CALLER came up. This is the 2nd time my pc has gone to bsod, first time was about a month ago. This time was during gaming, but there were other applications running at the same time. I built the pc myself recently, and since then Ive had several problems such as freezing, and the pc being slow on the sign in/password screens. Windows updates are all up to date. Are there any problems with my system, and what can I do?

Thanks for the help.

I don't think a case fan would have anything to do with the BSOD issue, if that's what you meant. It certainly sounds like you should re-check the connections with that fan, though, in case the plug isn't seated properly.

Depending on which specific Ripjaws model you have, the voltage could be the standard 1.5V, or 1.6V, or 1.65V. I would look up which one and then go into the BIOS and set the DIMM voltage to the correct value yourself. If it's one of the 1.6 or 1.65 sets and the BIOS setting is on "auto," there's always a chance it's not getting it quite right. It's possible that could stabilize it.

Only do that AFTER looking into the driver issue, though. If that's the cause, no need to go messing about with hardware.
That error usually means a problem with one of your device drivers. Check that they're all up to date and W8 compatible (if that's the version you're on).

It could also be an issue with unstable RAM, which may also explain the freezing. What are your full system specs?

Today when I started my pc my back case fan, the noctua nf-12, which I added 2 weeks ago didn't turn on and there was a loud noise coming from inside my pc (not a noisy fan noise). It has turned on fine now that I restarted, could it be a problem caused by adding another case fan?
