Second Drive (HDD) Showing Up In BIOS But Not In Disk Management

Title says it all. I installed Windows 8.1 to my ssd and I now can't find my HDD anywhere in my device manager or disk manager. Is this normal? If not please help if possible.

Is it possible that my HDD is just faulty? I've tried pretty much everything on the forums.

Ok so I unplugged the SSD and installed windows to the HDD and now the HDD will show up in device manager and the SSD doesn't. Any help would be appreciated.

I had them plugged into the same cable. I plugged them in using separate cables and it solved itself. You get best answer because you're the only one who bothered commenting and I wanted this thread to be solved.
