One of my Corsair Dominator Ram modules (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145312) went bad, I replaced it with a PNY module with identical specs (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/pny-optima-4gb-pc3-10666-ddr3-dimm-desktop-memory/2327496.p?id=1218532316525&skuId=2327496), but the PNY module does not work well with my Corsair modules (BSODs), so I have determined I should buy a new set.

On the specs page of my motherboard (http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P7P55DE/specifications/), it says:

4 x DIMM, Max. 16 GB, DDR3 2200(O.C.)*/1600/1333/1066 Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel memory architecture

Does anybody have any recommendations on what brand or type of ram I should buy from personal experience or experience in general?
A more general question about buying ram is should I go with (4x4gb) or (2x8gb)?

Thanks.

Other computer specs: Windows 7 Ultimate, Intel Core i7 870 @2.93, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760.

I don't quite understand. I have a very basic understanding of what enabling XMP does, are you suggesting that enabling XMP will fix problems I had with the PNY module? Please clarify.

Thanks.

Thanks, this has great reviews as well. I think I might go with this.
