I recently built my pc
I have a Dell 2414hx monitor (or something like that)
My monitor goes into power-saving mode when doing simple things like surfing the web, it has never occurred ingame - (COH). My fans still spin. One surefire way to make it do this is watch a youtube video for 5+ minutes, the sound stops along with it too but even without watching Youtube and just browsing firefox it still does this, just not as reliably.
The only way to fix this is to manually reboot my pc (holding down the front panel power for 10 seconds until it shuts off, then booting it back up)
My specs are:
CPU: AMD FX 8320E
PSU: shady 550w Cooler Master pre-installed power supply (i removed it from the original case since it was too small)
GPU: MSI R9 280 Gaming 3gb
MOBO: Asus M5A97 L.E 2.0 Motherboard
SSD: OCZ Arc 100 240gb SSD.
As of now I'm thinking it's a PSU issue but I have no way to test it.
UPDATE & SOLUTION
---
I checked the connections and the CPU connector was loose, fixed that and worked!
