Speaker/mic front I/O port not working?

Hi, whenever I plug a device in my pc's front in out port, it doesn't work properly I mean i have to turn it for like 20 times to get the sound. Same goes for mic. I have to turn like tuning an FM radio but the mic disconnects and doesn't sit in a good position

Open your case and make sure the audio header (the cables from your mic/headphones I/O on the front panel) is connected properly.

If the cable is bend and some torque is applied on the ports, it may cause this behavior.

Maybe the connectors are jammed. Also try disabling the front panel jack detection from the sound control panel. It might help.
