Is The ASRock Z97 Anniversary Motherboard Good for other CPU's besides the Pentium?

Yes it is a good mobo and it is not designed specifically for the Pentium (they simply claim it will OC it very well).
But you don't need a Z97 if you don't want to OC your CPU (yours is locked).
You could go with a H97.

Mobo has 0 effect on performance.
You only want to make sure your product is reliable and has the desired features.
Then you should get the cheapest.
