Hi everyone,

Im building my first gaming pc and i was wondering wether my build will work.
I dont really have a clue wether this build is good enough to run games at high without any fps drops. I do not plan on overclocking. my build so far :

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K Processor 3.5 GHz LGA 1150 BX80646I54690K
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR3 1600 MHz PC3 12800 240-Pin DDR3 Dual Channel Memory Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM001 2TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Power Supply: Corsair VS 650W
Case: Raidmax Cobra ATX Mid Tower Case ATX-502WBG (Black)
Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming,s1150
DVD thingy: LG DVR DL 24X,SATA

i would really appreciate if someone could help me out.

Well, you mentioned that you will not overclock, but you got an overclockable CPU and mobo. Also, if you want to keep the option to OC in the future, go for a Z97 mobo.
If you will not ooverclock, get an H97 mobo and a non-K i5 4690.

At the same time, it would be a shame to have this build without adding an SSD in there for the OS and a few games.

You can still go with this build, but you will need to flash a new BIOS on the mobo, and maybe add a CPU cooler for when you`ll want to overclock. The Cooler Master 212 EVO is a decent cheap one, and the Noctua NH-D14 is a great one, but more expensive.
