Is it possible to run an SSD in AHCI and RAID 0 array on an M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3?

I'd like to run Win7/64B on a Samsung 840Pro SSD and 2x 3TB HDs in a RAID 0 array on an ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 motherboard. I've tried every BIOS setting I can think of, but can't get the system to recognize the SSD. I've bench checked the SSD on another computer, so I know it's good.

If this MB won't support my desired plan, can anyone recommend an AMD compatible board that will allow it? I've gathered that I need something with two on board USB controllers, or possibly buy a PCI/PCIE USB card that supports the SSD for my current MB. Just not sure I'll be able to utilize AHCI for the SSD in that configuration.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

I think raid just auto puts your drives into AHCI mode.

About the SSD not showing up, does it show up in the drives diagnostic tools? Also have you tried another sata cable?

I don't see how the number of USB controllers would have anything to do with whether a ssd is detected or not.
