MX100 Crucial SSD 256GB vs Standard 1tb HDD?

My new laptop is coming with a 1TB HDD, but I also managed to buy an MX100 Crucial 256GB SSD in the Black Friday deals. I'm not sure which to keep for a few reasons:

The SSD is better in almost every way, however I would be getting a quarter of the memory I would have with my HDD.
I'm buying a laptop, and switching the memory over will make the 2 year warrantee devoid.

I'm using this Laptop for work and I travel lots, and I will use it for a few games. The real question is:
Is it worth it for so little memory? I would have to use it to store games [Although I can put other documents on my portable hard drive if necessary].

Solution
Documents don't really take up much space even lots of them. I don't think swapping drives/memory will void the warranty unless explicitly specified. I would probably go with the SSD unless you are a heavy gamer on the laptop and play many games. If you can get away with installing 2-3 at a time go with the SSD, if not and you play many games at the same time go with the larger drive.
