Adding new 1tb SATA HDD

I have a SSD and the C drive is a 370gb SATA HDD. I have added a new 1tb SATA HDD (which is drive E) but everything goes to the C drive, which is full. I know with IDE you used to set master/slave but what do I do with SATA? Should I switch the drive letters?

If you are trying to free up space on your C: drive you will need to re-install programs to what ever drive letter you choose. You can't just replace the C: drive with a larger one. Data files can just be moved unlike installed programs.
