So I built my first PC about 2.5 years ago and it has been working fine up until now. About 3 weeks ago I was playing a game (cs:go) and it kept stuttering. Once I quit out of the game my cursor had gone so I decided to reboot but it didn't start. I tried again later that day and it was working fine again up until now with the same problem.
It started again after I opened up the side panel to allow the system to cool (poor cable management in a cheap case). When I put the panel back on and stood it upright as it was leaning against the wall at an 75° angle it kept stuttering on the desktop so I decided to reboot.
All fans are spinning fine, everything seems to be in place and both ram sticks are fine yet the PC won't boot.
One of three things will happen;
1. It will turn on and give the normal POST (1 short beep) but then stop on the 'loading operating system' screen
2. It will turn on and give a different POST (2 short or 1 long 1 short)
3. It will turn on, give the normal post and show a black screen, reboot with normal post again (shorting mobo?) and show this screen (http://m.imgur.com/cMjk6EA) and will repeat this until it gets stuck on the 'loading os' screen.
Things already tried:
- Clearing the CMOS (seemed to help the first time round but not now
- Checking both hard drives (crystaldisk says both are good)
Help is greatly appreciated, thanks guys.
