First Build Check

Solution
Yes, some cases have two or more drive cages, so you can remove the cage that's blocking the GPU and put your drives into the remaining one(s). Some cases also have SSD mounts on the back of the motherboard tray.

if your willing to go with a z87 board, newegg has this combo right now. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.2086364

for $340 this is an awesome deal. your mobo, cpu, ram is $455 as is. i know the ram is only 1 stick but for the price you can another just like it for 16 gb total and still not be at the same price your at now!!

other than this idea, your build looks good. as for the difference between z87 and z97, it is the msata support. the rest of the feature set is the same. i have an msi z97 gaming 5 mobo and this has the same stuff on it that mine does minus the m.2 slot. still allows oc and all that jazz.

the deal is only for today though, so if you want it, need to click buy soon.

There is some wasted money in that build. This one would have more bang for your buck:

This build is assuming your bucget is around 1300$ as the GPU is normally 350$ and it doesn't currently have a price.

Overclocking yields little performance (3-5 FPS at most) and outputs unnecessary heat and noise (CPU cooler fan). Dropping the overclocking also puts some money back into your pocket.

The motherboard is pre-tested for 168 hours (a week) before getting packaged and shipped.

16 GB of RAM lets you multitask and game very well.

The larger SSD lets you store more games and programs. You also have the option to get a 2 TB secondary HDD for 30$ more:

The GPU is better IMO as it has more accessories, a higher factory overclock and it comes from a company that has excellent customer support.

The case has more cooling bang for your buck.

The PSU is a cheaper Tier 1 750 watt 80+ Gold full modular unit that supports 2 GTX 970s in SLI.

The OS is non OEM, so it can be transferred from one computer to another (transferred, and not reused).

If you have any questions, post them and I'll answer them.
