So this is a 4 day old build and I'm running Windows 8.1 on it. Sometimes (like 5 minutes ago) my pc monitor activity freezes. There is nothing that seems wrong on the inside, fans and everything are working and I don't think it's the CPU overheating either because this hasn't happened while gaming yet. I really don't wanna do a clean install, can someone help me troubleshoot this? I'm off to bed in half an hour so please excuse any delayed replies. Any help with drivers, utilities and such would be greatly appreciated. I really wanna know if any components have new drivers that are known to cause this error. I would also like any utilities for drivers or component performance monitoring.

Specs:
Gigabyte B85M-D3H
Intel i5-4690k
MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4G
Seagate Barracuda 1TB @ 7200rpm
Samsung 840 Evo (Windows 8.1 installed here)
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB RAM
Corsair CX600M
Fractal Design R4
Windows 8.1

Tried it, nothing. I would love to have recurring freezes in the situation I'm in right now. I went to install drivers to make sure that wasn't the problem and one of them was for my MB. Called F13. I installed it and it said restart, restarted and nothing appeared on-screen. Any ideas? Tried clearing the CMOS by removing the battery and I'm yet again trying the RAM sticks in different slots but I'm losing hope very quickly here.

I installed these drivers through the MSI Live Update 6 and the F13 one through the APP Center through the download section on my motherboard page. My MB was F12.
