First of all, I must apologize because I know there are many threads about this problem, but none of them have related to me.
I was installin the Omega (14.12) update for 64 bit Windows 7, but had a local power cut in the middle of it. I have an XFX Radeon 7970,and after the cut and PC restart, Catalyst control centre told me that my graphics driver either doesnt exist, or was installed incorrectly. This didn't bother me, as I knew why. So I tried the .exe again to install. Again, it didn't work.
So, I checked for Windows updates, and there was a very small one (29KB), but it kept failing to install.
I've ignored it for now, as I don't really think that is my main problem.
Then, I deleted the AMD files from program files and the C drive. Tried reinstalling the update, still saying the same.
My games don't work, and its kinda stressing me out so any help or things for me to try out would be appreciated. I'd prefer to not go reinstalling windows, which is what a lot of the other threads suggested, on top of RMA'ing the graphics card.
Thanks
