Laptop can't connect to wireless network

A few days ago, my laptop decided it was no longer going to connect to the wireless network it's been connecting to for the last 18 months. When I click diagnose I get the message "Wireless association failed because Windows did not receive any response from the wireless router or access point".

My phone and iPad still connect to it with no problems. If I set up a wireless hotspot through my phone, my laptop will connect to that.

I've tried deleting all of the wireless networks and then reconnecting but it hasn't worked. Any ideas? (Please be gentle with me - I'm a bit rubbish with all things tech!)
