Does the Intel EXPI9301CTBLK work with pcie x4 or x16?

I just bought the Intel EXPI9301CTBLK and dont know if it will work with x4 or x16. I have an Asus Rampage 3 Extreme and it doesnt have a PCIE x1 slot but I read you could use it with the x16 slot

It seems to use a PCI slot not PCI-E

There is a difference between PCI-E 1.0 and 2.0 and 3.0

Yes, you can use a PCIe x1 in an x4/x8/x16 slot.

then stick it in a PCI-E 2.0 slot it won't work with PCI
