Specs:
Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P
AMD FX 8350 black edition
Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB
Seagate Barracude 1TB HDD
Silicon Power 128GB SSD

I am trying to load Windows 7 Ultimate onto my SSD from a CD. I can get into the BIOS. I tried setting the optical drive for priority boot and I also tried it as an override boot, but I keep getting to the screen that says "Reboot and select proper boot device message"

I have tried unplugging and re-plugging everything in. I have tried use the optical disk drive I installed, as well as an external optical disk drive.

Advice on how to proceed with this issue would be much appreciated.

Solution
OK then Windows is corrupted or your drives are faulty.

Test the drives in another PC. Do a Checkdisk on the SSD.

If everything is OK, try a different copy of Windows.

Yes, the internal and external ODD, as well as the SSD and HDD are recognized in the BIOS

During a clean install of windows with an SSD in your spec list it is always suggested to have only the SSD and the ODD/USB boot drive connected to the machine. Always have the SSD connected to the first sata port on your mobo - not just any random port while you have the ODD located somewhere down on port 3, provided you have one HDD or add one more spacing for the number of HDD's in your arsenal.

I unplugged my HDD.
Plugged my SDD into the first SATA3 port (upper left) and I plugged in my ODD in the third SATA3 port (upper right). I also tried unplugging the ODD and just using the external ODD via USB. Neither worked. I still gett the "Reboot and select proper boot device" message

Turns out it was the CD.
I downloaded an ISO and created a bootable USB.

Thanks for the help everyone!!
