how to fix my external hard drive when its not spinning

Its a Toshiba external hard drive and it wasnt reading it on the computer so i dropped it and i was scared cuz when i plugged it bck in the pc it didnt make that vibrating noise anymore but it did still have the lite light and i have important documents and files on there its a 500gb usb external drive

Hey Steven. You could always try opening up the drive and connecting it internally to see if it will work. But note that this will probably void the warranty of the drive. I'm afraid that if it's not because of the enclosure you'll probably need to go with a professional solution in order to recover your data, such as a data recovery company.
