Hi,

I'm having a problem with my PC not booting, and I feel like it might be my CPU. My rig has been fine for the last 6 months or so, but a few nights back while I was playing CS:GO, my PC randomly shut off, and now it won't boot. The lights and fans turn on, but I get nothing on my screen.
I should mention that a couple days prior to the random shutoff, I was experiencing random lockups to my system. No BSOD, no crashes, just complete freezing of my system that required a hard reset. This is why I thought it might be CPU related, is my CPU dead? I've tried some troubleshooting, switched out my GPU, tried booting with individual ram, clearing CMOS, nothing has worked. Fans and lights turn on, but nothing on either of my monitors and no beeps either from my mobo. I'm sure everything is plugged in and secured right, and I've reseated most things to no avail.
Do you guys think my CPU is the problem? I had it over clocked for a long time, and when the random lockups started happening I lowered the over clock but it still happened, up to the random shutoff I had. I closely monitor my temps and I know that wasn't the issue for my CPU or GPU, but I was running some high voltages through my CPU if that matters. After the initial shutoff, the CPU LED indicator on my mobo turned on, indicating a problem, but has since turned off after taking off the CPU heatsink and checking the cpu. Though it still won't boot.

Specs:
CPU: AMD FX 8320
GPU: nvidia GTX 560 TI 2GB
Mobo: Asus m5a99fx Pro r2.0
Ram: gskill ares 1866 8GB
PSU: Antec HCG-750M 750w
CPU cooler: Phanteks Company PH-TC14PE
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB

Sorry if this was messy or jumbled, I'm writing this from my phone since my PC is dead right now :[[ Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This may sound silly, but try making sure your CPU is locked in to your mobo.

Last time I upgraded my CPU, my computer wouldn't boot up at all. The lights and fans went on, but I just had a black screen. After removing my CPU fan/heatsink, my CPU was literally attached to the bottom of it, being held together by melted thermal paste. This was because I apparently didn't lock it in properly when I switched it out. I carefully removed it and reattached everything to my mobo, and my computer booted up fine.

At the very least, removed your CPU fan/heatsink and take a look at your CPU to make sure its alright.
