I just built a new system from components new out of the box. I finished putting everything together, hooked up the power, monitors, keyboard, and mouse. I tried to turn it on and I get no sound of fans no beep code at all and no lights with the exception of one power standby led lit up on the motherboard.

There is no history to this thing, I just finished it today.

I have gone through shortsuff ans jsc's 23 point checklist with no success. I tried each step in turn. I have not yet tried only the CPU on the motherboard to try and trace beep codes that jsc added at the end of that list. Right now I hit the power button and nothing at all happens.

Intel i7 4930k
Asus sabertooth x79
4x 4 gig Gskill RAM
Corsair h100i water cooler
Evga gtx 560 ti
Corsair hx850 psu
Samsung 250gig ssd
Western digital 4 terabyte hard drive
Haven't got an os on it yet, but it will be windows 7 64 bit
Cooler master haf 932 case
2 Asus monitors

Steps I have taken.
1. Built the thing.
2. Took everything out and rebuilt the thing.
3. Performed all the steps in the post perform these steps before posting about POST issues thread

Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's weird how helpless I feel without my rig at my desk.

Does that motherboard have an onboard power button? If you're using case switch, maybe there's something wrong with the switch or the wire connection to the mobo. Try jumping the PW SW pins on the mobo to see if that starts it.

Tried jumping the pins for the power switch. I got a click from the psu and a flash of lights, then nothing. Also checked the compatibility of my mb with the psu and that seems ok. I wondered if I was getting incorrect voltage. I'm beginning to suspect the psu.

Thank you for your help, I have an rma in process with corsair on the psu. Apparently this model has had issues with a small number of psu's before. Looked closer at reviews on newegg. Thanks again!
