Adding 2x4 g hyperx beast 2400 to 2x4G hyperx beast 1600

Hello, I have 2 x 4G of hyperx beast 1600 and I would like to add 2x4 G more.
I have the opportunity to add 2 x 4G of hyperx beast 2400.

Will it worked together ? timing and cas are different I beleive
Mobo MSI Z97 gaming 5
CPU i5 4690k

Maybe they will, maybe they won't - even mixing 2 identical sets of the same exact model can be and often is problematic, mixing diverse sets, such as different models, freqs, timings, voltages, etc just increases the chances of problems which in some cases can be overcome w/ timing/voltage adjustments, but no guarantees.....Am working on an article for Tom's right now addressing this and a number of other common DRAM issues/questions

they will work together... but they will work at the speed of the slowest stick (1600) and also slowest CAS. Also, you may need to manually set these values in the BIOS in case it didn't do so automatically.

After isntalling them, check with cpu-z... ti will tell you all these vals.
