The print screen key on my keyboard does not work, alone, with alt, or with any other key with which I've experimented. How does one printscreen with this keyboard?

Some of those MS keyboards have the function keys mapped to something else by default, look on the top row for a key like that. I don't remember what it's called but it toggles the keys from their custom mappings to standard. You may also just have a pad key there.
