Hello guys,

I have recently bought and installed a MSI GTX 970 and a Samsung SSD (Evo 840 - 250GB).
I also did a clean installation of Windows 7 including all of the important drivers, of course.
The rest of my hardware is stated at the end of this topic.

Since this is the second time this happened I decided to make a topic. The games I play choose to crash at random (sometimes they don't crash even after I've played a game for hours). First the screen goes black for a few seconds and eventually the game crashes to desktop. Sure, this can happen, but when I then start Chrome or Firefox I end up with seeing strange visuals:

The weird visuals show up in small squares as shown above.

I have installed the nVidea 344.75 drivers. What's causing these random crashes? I can restart the game with no visual bugs at all, and all Windows screens are fine too. Just the browsers show me weird visuals.

As promised, the rest of my hardware:

Case: Cooler Silencio 550
Mobo: MSI H77MA-G43 (bios versie 1D)
CPU: Intel i5 3570K - 3,4GHZ
GPU: MSI GTX 970 4GB
MEM: 8GB - Corsair Vengeance - Dual Channel DDR3
PSU: Cooler Master GX Lite 600W
SSD: Samsung Evo 840 250GB
HDD: 1TB

Solution
This is a classic case of corrupted VRAM for sure. Your cards memory is defective. You better RMA your 970 to Newegg. Just bad luck I guess. Last card I owned had corrupt VRAM and I had to live with that thing for almost two years and XFX would not take it back.
