Single channel ram running slow possibly after setting to 1600mhz in bios

ram installed is the ram(two sticks total 8gb

is my cpu-z screenshots of the ram
could anyone confirm/deny that the ram is running at 1600mhz please?

Looks like it but why are two sticks in single channel mode? Should be dual channel. Are they in the correct slots for dual?

your ram are not in the double channel slot check motherboard user manual how to put them and then look in bios how they been detect .

The sticks don't matter - all are 64bit devices and can run in single, dual, tri or quad channel if you have the proper number of sticks

even if they are single module they could work in dual channel bios settings and motherboard position for them . give us name and model of your motherboard .

There is no such thing as a single or dual channel stick !!
1 stick runs single channel ,2 sticks should run dual channel.
Your ram is running correct speed & latencies but should be in dual channel mode.
What motherboard is it you're using??

The 990 chipset goes 1-3 or 2-4 as I mentioned, as it is AMD this mobo also allows for ganged or unganged (ganged being the equivalent of dual channel mode), it should be an option in GB's MIT page

DCTs Mode
Allows you to set memory control mode.
Ganged Sets memory control mode to single dual-channel.
Unganged Sets memory control mode to two single-channel. (Default)

so its on unganged now..I wanna change that to ganged then?
