Hello, I'm quite new to building PC's etc. and I'm not sure what to upgrade first on my PC (which is used for Online Gaming/Streaming) and I could do with some help.

Any help would be appreciated. I've got a decent budget but I don't want to break the bank. I do have a feeling it's my graphics card that needs an upgrade first but I need some help with what would be best based on what I'm running just now:

CPU: AMD A8-3850
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6770
MOBO: ASRock A75 Pro4
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB x 2
Cooler: Arctic Cooling Freezer 13

That's the main things anyway.

Thanks

Having a look at the R9 285, definitely looks good, I wouldn't have any idea of what power supply to get though, from what I can find out its two 6 pin power leads from power supply. Would a 500w suffice?

Here are the R9 285s from Scan-UK -- the Sapphire Radeon R9 285 OC can trade blows with the R9 280X and GTX 770 in many games. I like posting Scan-UK stuff because they list price with VAT. Some wankers try to slide by on that :) and it gets confusing with prices (at least for me).

I'll split the difference on the PSU -- here's the XFX 550W for £47.94 Inc VAT with 1 x 6-pin and 1x6+2-pin PCI-E Power. That will take you all the way up to the R9 280Xs if you were so inclined

That should be a great start for less...

Thanks for this. Do you think an entire new PC is the way to go? I thought maybe even if I went for the CPU, Motherboard, Video Card and Power Supply, that would be sufficient (don't judge the inexperience haha)

With that, it will pass some years until you need a upgrade again.

500W may be just enough. What kind of power supply do you have?
