The ASRock H97 Pro4 and an i3 4150 might be the ticket if you want to go with intel, otherwise an AMD FX-6300 and an ASUS M5A97 R2.0 would work if you want to go with AMD. I think a 600W power supply would be all you will ever need unless you get a couple powerful GPUs in the near future, and in terms of brands just look for a power supply that is labeled either "80 plus bronze certified" or gold certified if you feel like spending a little more on a more efficient psu. It also depends on whether you want a modular supply, which is very nice for cabling but can raise the price significantly. Seasonic is generally regarded as the best name in power supplies, and the Seasonic S12II 520 would fit the bill.

Edit: Both the AMD and Intel builds would run you just shy of $200 for the cpu and mobo.

an i3 type build or an fx6300 build, your video card is going to be limiting what detail settings you can play smoothly with though. Any 500w psu from Seasonic, Xfx, corsair, antec or evga will do the trick. Stay away from brands that are not well known (generic rebadge brands) and the low end of any product line that will use cheap components that will not last long.

What is your current cpu and motherboard if you have one?
