Should I update my AMD fx8350 to intel 4790k?

Hi all
I do not know if it is worth it but I am considering updating my fx8350 on a m5a99fx pro evo motherboard to a intel 4790k on a maximus hero VII motherboard.

Is it worth it or should I wait for broadwell chipset to be released?

While it happens to be correct that the 4790 is faster than the 8350, cpuboss should never be the deciding factor between cpu's, it makes many comparisons that are of no value to real world performance. Even just a quick glance at the useless stats they do provide and one is completely wrong. they scored both cpu's with the same "5.1" for power consumption, yet the 8350 is 125w and the 4790 is 88w.

It's a decent upgrade, espeically if you overclock. Otherwise you basically have to wait for Sky Lake, Broadwell isn't going to bring much to the desktop. It's taking them so long to get it off the ground that they may even cancel desktop Broadwell entirely.
