Do I need a new soundcard to go with my headset?

Not long ago i bought a Sennheiser G4ME ZERO and i've heard that with this headset, i'll need a better soundcard to get the most out of it.
I dont know what motherboard i have, because at the time i didn't know how bad Alienware was. So i have an Alienware X51 R2. Let me know if you need any specs or other info, and thank you!

for cheaper you could get a sbz or xonar sound card with headphone amp. Then you get the added features of a better sound card + the headphone amp.

Your best bet would be a DAC/headphone AMP combo. Something like this.

You just plug it into a USB port, no drivers needed. Plug it into the wall, plug in headphones. Tons of power, clarity, no electronic interference as you get from onboard or soundcard.

This one's pretty good too if you're on a budget.
