Is it ok to switch ram sticks of different hertz?

Okay we'll I have a computer that uses a 4 gb ram stick running on 1600 MHz. My friend have me a 4 gb ram stick that runs on 1333 MHz. Will using both ram sticks with differences in clocking of hertz damage the computer or will they work fine together?

Yes, if they do work together, they will run at 1333 natively. you may be able to overclock to run at 1600 but that depends on your motherbd and if the ram can run at that speed.
