I am just about to give up with my PC and build a complete new one, but I would rather not spend money if I can fix my current one. My computer will lose power at random it does not matter what I am doing on the computer or what time it is. (It is not the power supply, already RMA'd it twice). The windows event viewer displays the same repeating errors whenever it randomly powers off, Kernel-Power, Eventlog, Dhcp-Client. I have no viruses and the HDD is not the problem (booted to memtest to test ram and it still lost power). The CPU, ram, and gpu were known to work in my previous system so I do not see why those could be causing the issue. I also RMA'd the motherboard and they said they found damage and repaired it, but the issue still persists. I am completely lost with what to do. I did talk to some people at BestBuy (they are credible) and they do not know what the problem is, although I could find out for a large fee with geeksquad...
If all the parts are supposed to be working fine, then I do not know what component is causing my problems. Every part has been tested or "fixed" and yet the issue still persists. Furthermore no forum on the internet has had the exact same issue other than one that said the issue was in the motherboard but it was fixed after they rma'd theirs. I rma'd mine with no avail.
(temps are all below 40 Celsius and nothing overheats)
(also tested different outlets without surge protector)
parts list:
Cx 750m
FX 6120
XFX 7870
8gb kingston ram
TP-Link wifi card
GA-970-ud3 mobo
6 fans and fan controller
keyboard and mouse
1 tb seagate hdd
alchemy cable extensions so it "looks" nice
I hope I am clear with my issue, if not please tell me so I can post it.
What part needs to be replaced?
Thank you.
