My specs are:

AMD FX 8350 CPU
AMD R9 280X GPU
HyperX RAM (16gb)
CS750M PSU
990FX Sabertooth R2.0 Mobo

I try games like: Arma 3, World of Warcraft, DayZ, BF4, Diablo 3, and various others.

On most of the games listed I can't usually max them out, or run with stable high FPS in crowded areas.

Arma 3 with many different launch options on lowest settings I tend to get 30fps or less on Multiplayer servers, DayZ spikes depending on if there's people around, and WoW has volatile FPS for me at all times..

Is it because of my AMD CPU not being very adaptive with single core threading, or is there a way to fix that issue?

I see those AMD, AMD listings in your config and I'm not surprised you would have trouble running those OpenGL games. But that doesn't account for all the games on your list. The big common denominator is on-line multiplayer gaming. On-line games just don't have the consistency of a single player game. There are just too many variables, and your FPS is intricately tied into the performance of all the other players in the game, even those on a crappy laptop with a weak Wi-Fi connection.

Would upgrading to a different GPU help me with the Framerate issue at all. Or is it more CPU based?

Hard to make a call on that until you go off-line and play a single player game. Try out BF4. If you have Afterburner, you can monitor your GPU usage versus your CPU usage, and see if there's a bottleneck.

Make sure you are using the latest drivers for your video card.

If you cannot max out diablo 3 there is something wrong.

Arma 3, dayz, and WOW have issues with weak single thread performance processors.

Overclocking the cpu will help, but you most likely will always have problems in raids and such.

I max out Diablo 3 just fine, I simply gave reference to all the games I generally play, that's all.
