I Have Recently Set Up 6Gb Ram But It's Showing Only 3.4GB Is Usable I Have Consulted My Hardware Person But That Idiot Is Saying The 3.4Gb It Will Work Like 6GB

My Specs Showed By PC Are
Ram : 6 GB (3.30 Usable)
Operating System : 64-Bit Win 7

Sir, you have 32bit windows, so this amount of RAM is maximum you can use. You need 64 bit Windows. Also, please be kind and avoid calling people names, this is not polite in either the real or virtual world. Thank you!

More specifically, a 32-bit OS can only create a memory map usually for 4GB of memory (4exp32).

When your computer starts up it addresses some minor motherboard things into this map as well as your VIDEO MEMORY. It then can only address up to the remaining amount of the 4GB for your System memory.

Since you have 3.3GB usable it's likely you have a video card or iGPU with 512MB memory assigned.

So the memory map ends up being:

3.3GB + 0.5GB + roughly 0.2GB other.
