I assume you mean you added a USB wi-fi adapter?

1) Install the adapter's SOFTWARE, then

2) Click on the icon in the lower right to launch local setup (may need to use password for secure network)

That's called tethering unless you are talking about something else. Not all phones or service plans allow that, when you share you phone data service with a computer. Or are you trying to share your computer's wifi connection with the phone?
