Hello!

So, my 212x is starting to make noises. Not good. It's irreparable since my warranty is over, and I'd rather just buy a new one. The heatsink is staying of course, so, what fan would be good to put on the 212x heatsink? I don't need anything extreme. Something efficient and good for the price.

It would fit, but taht is a case fan. You are better off with a so called radiator fan. What you want is a fan...

No.. Why would he replace a 120mm fan with the 80mm fan you posted?

Get a good 120mm fan, Scythe Gentle Typhoons or Noctua fans are top of the line choices.

So, would a Noctua NF-S12A FLX 120mm fit the job?

It would fit, but taht is a case fan. You are better off with a so called radiator fan. What you want is a fan with high air pressure (CFM). Noctua NF-P12 or NF-F12 are better options.
