Hello

Like others I appreciate any assistance that can be given. I am sort of running out of time with being able to get the components for a build by Christmas as a gift for son.

We have a budget of 500.00-700.00

Son is wanting to have 2 monitors eventually so can game on one and record for like you tube videos on another (will get extra monitor later unless deals are going on now)

He plays some shooter type games but his time is mainly on minecraft now. He records and puts on YouTube.

Would like to be able for system to be upgradeable for maybe next 3-5 years to make it more extreme gamer if necessary.

would like the most dependable & hassle free system, as far as build and set up.

Thanks again for the help!

I made a build that includes a monitor but no Operating System around $750 through Newegg but like I posted before is you have any parts that will help with the overall costs.

I went with a non-sli board due to sli never being as good as one great card and also the 750ti is a fast card for $110. I have the i5-4590 and the 750ti and my temps stay cool and is more then powerful enough to play BF4 @1080P on Ultra easily with a 64 player map.

Thanks for the reply..do have a OS, & monitor is all currently. I think he would like a case that would show off the "guts & muscle" of the pc as well as one that make the build easier.

Also might throw in a little blue lighting in the case.

Thanks Again!

If he likes blue lighting with a side window and you want a great case for air cooling look at the Antec 900 case (I own both the 900 and 1200). I redid the build to include that case (the MB is blue as well) and with the extra cash from having a monitor I was able to put in another 4gb of memory.

Great... appreciate the idea.

Looked up the case, (nice) is the lighting built into it? couldn't find it in the description.

How is the noise level or sound from the fans?

So this set up will allow for adding some extreme features in the next year or two?

The lighting is built into it. The sound lvl is pretty quiet if the fans are run on low. The top and rear fan each have a 3 speed adjustment while the two fans in the front have adjustable knobs for fan speed. Everything on low is quiet but if you did run all fans on high the case will sound like its about to take off lol. Thats why I recomended going with a intel cpu and a 750ti. The cpu and graphics are really quiet/cool compared to there AMD counterparts. I had both of those parts in a mini-itx case and they stayed under 53c under high loads.

Well the Motherboard isn't SLI so you wouldn't be able to add a second card in the future and the 750ti isn't SLI compatible anyways. Although I'm not a big fan of SLI since one powerful GPU is always better then 2 low end cards. This build would be plenty for a couple of years (depending on how demanding the games he plays)but if you want something that will easily last a few years I would recomend a K series intel and Z Series Motherboard (unlocked) for overclocking in the future and possibly a Nvidia 970 or at least a R9 290 for a graphics card. I went with slightly lower end parts due to your budget but give me some time and I can make something much better.

Thanks for your time...son doesn't do much extreme gaming currently besides a few "shooter type games" and Minecraft is the biggie...he wants high FPS supposedly. Also he like the dual monitor and recording & editing his games as mentioned. Bet the original will handle him and will be good to keep the $$ down for Santa Claus..lol

Np, good luck with the build and from what you mentioned I think this build would be perfect for him ( http://pcpartpicker.com/p/FNzM23 ). Also all parts can be purchased through Newegg (or separately from different suppliers to save some $$$).
