I use Dell Inspiron laptop. I have a question about its Datapart drive

When I start Firefox, Gtalk and other programs, they weren't not responding.

My husband checked it and he selected the "Dedicate this device to ready boost" in its properties and everything seem
to start properly.

1. I want to know what exactly has happened here, why has it got fixed and what is Datapart drive?

2. I keep getting the message that there is not enough space in Datapart (G) even thought I selected the full space
to reserve for system speed under its properties tab. Why is this happening?

Solution
That Datapart is likely just the name you gave that partition or whatever is drive G. From the fact that you can use ready boost on it, sounds like it's a USB thumb drive. Not enough space message is simple because there is not enough free space on the drive for whatever you are doing with it. Ready Boost does not do much with system speed you are a lot better off uprading the RAM on it.
