Should I add one more Sapphire Radeon HD 5750 or buy Sapphire Radeon R9 270?

My 18th birthday is closing and I want to give myself a treat and finally enjoy playing games on high resolutions without fps drops, lags and so on...

I currently have one Sapphire Radeon HD 5750 (though it's not working its max because my CPU is real slow), and I'm thinking... Should I buy another one (that means I have to buy new MB as well since my MB has only 1 slot for a card) and use them both with Crossfire, or should I go for Sapphire Radeon R9 270? I also plan on buying Intel Core i5 4460. Is this processor going to bottleneck any of the combinations listed above?
Which one is cheaper, but better combination? Are these combinations going to be able to run newer games that require good computers (Watch_Dogs, Far Cry 4, mostly next gen. games), how long would it last (before even more system-eating games come out) and do you guys maybe have some better combinations or cheaper ones?
I'm not looking to max out settings in every game and play with 85FPS@85Hz (I use CRT monitor LOL). I just want to be able to play at 1080p (IF, that is, I save up for an LCD LED monitor, otherwise, 1024x768) on Medium, maybe High.

Thanks!

I agree. Having one powerful card is much better then 2 lower-end cards in Xfire. Also if you can wait I would hold off on getting a new CPU till Skylake is released (2015) so you can get a better cpu or at least get Haswell-E for a cheaper price. The R9 270 is a good card but I still wouldn't expect it to play Watch Dogs/FC4 on Ultra @1080P. They will play on high settings if your gaming @1024x768.

really is crossfiring two low end gpus really going to give good performance , probally not worth it i suggest buying one powerful mid range instead of two low end , crossfire and sli have worse scaling in comparison to a powerful card also less heat and power consumption , i belive if you want to upgrade get something like a gtx 660ti this will probally cost less than two r9 270x's

I don't want nVidia card. And I wanted only 1 R9 270, not two, that would require a monster psu and I don't have much money to spend anyway
