What CPU will perform better for gaming and skype, internet?
I searched a lot and some people say that 4790k is better.
So,
8320, 8350, 9095, 4690k, 4790k?
if i buy the 8320 or 8350 or 4690 i will overclock it.
When my 4790k runs at 4.4 GHz @ 1.195v, my Hyper TX3 cooler keeps the temps under 75°C most of the time; at 4.0 GHz (turbo disabled) @ 1.063v, temps stayed under 70°C while playing Dragon Age: Inquisition. A Hyper 212 EVO should be good enough for 4.5 GHz @ 1.2v.
The 4790K is the winner here. However if you are just gaming and running apps in the background, the 4690K performs nearly identically to the 4790K. The AMD CPUs don't perform aswell in most games since they have weak single core performance.
I have an i5-3570K and a FX-8320. Side by side, in every program I run, the i5 is visibly faster. In your place, I'd get the i5-4690K on a Z97 motherboard.
the 4690k would be good for general, and gaming use. you could go with the 4790k, but wouldnt benefit enough for gaming, for it to matter. the 4790k would start benefiting if you were to be doing editing, rendering, etc.
Better stick with Intel platform for more powerful cores. For gaming and background progs, stick with i5 4690k. Opt for i7 only if you are gaming and doing graphics related work, rendering, audio mixing etc.
lol as an owner of both the i7 4790k and amd fx 8350 i'll say if your just gaming the 8350 is almost just as good give or take a couple of fps in far cry 4 and shadow of mordor. I regret paying so much for my i7 4790k, but at least i can feel cool owning this chip.
The 4690k is for gaming, internet, video streaming, and Microsoft Office. The 4790k is for all of the above plus Photoshop, HD video editing, CAD, music studio, etc. Also, some games, such as Hitman Absolution, Grid 2, and all EA games that use the Frostbite 3 and CryEngine 3 graphics engines (Crysis 3, Battlefield 4, etc.) will benefit from i7s.
The 4790k is the clear choice. The difference at stock speeds versus the 4690k is 14% (3.5 Ghz vs 4.0 Ghz) tho much of this disappears when overclocking. Is that worth $100 ? It depends on ya budget. Dunno why you wouldn't OC the 4790k as it is the most overclockable Intel CPU listed with better thermal design, better, more stable power control.
As for the 4770k, actual impact on gaming will depend on the game .... most games are GPU dependent primarily, others are bottlenecked by CPU and still others are affected by both. And again, where CPU affects things most is in minimum fps rather than average fps. Those naggy lag spikes you experience while playing are oft caused by CPU.
Excellent MoBo outside of the BIOS Clock Freeze issue .... tho it hasn't reared it's ugly head in a while.... tho I haven't been pushing system at all lately. I have the M6F w/ same PSU, 16 GB Mushkin (Hynix) 2400 CAS 10, twin 780s w/ 26% OC (22% on memory), 4770k @ 4.6 Ghz, custom loop.
Here's Asus recommendations .....
A very good air cooler is required for voltage levels above 1.15V.
1.20V-1.23V requires use of closed loop water coolers.
At 1.24V-1.275V dual or triple radiator water cooling solutions are advised.
Up to 1.200v = Very Good Air Cooler (Hyper 212)
Up to 1.250v = Better Air Coolers (Phanteks PH-TC14-PE, Silver Arrow or Noctua DH14) ....... Dual 140mm CLC / AIO Cooler w/ 1500 rpm fans (Corsair H110)
Up to 1.275v = Extreme Speed Dual Fan CLC / AIO w/ 2700 rpm fans (too noisy for most folks)
Up to 1.300 = Cryorig R1 / Noctua DH-15 / Swiftech H220-X / 240-X
Up to 1.325v = Custom Loop w/ 15C Delta T (3 x 120mm / 140mm) *
Up to 1.400 = Custom Loop w/ 10C Delta T (5 x 140mm or 6 x 120mm) *
* At this level having the GPU(s) also under water is assumed
