Hello everyone,
I'll try explain my issue to the best of my ability.
A few days ago I've purchased an ASUS Xonar DGX to complement my recent purchase of the Audio Technica ATH-m50x, unfortunately there seems to be an annoying static when sound is playing.
However when I use Spotify with HF & GX mode on (in Xonar DGX Audio Center; I have to restart Spotify before this works) there is no static. Once I play music with Foobar2000 it's back, same goes for when I start up a game (World of Warcraft in this case), or playing a video on YouTube.
Not sure if this is relevant; when the static is present and I pause/stop the music, after 20 seconds the static is gone untill I resume.
So far I have tried the following
Note that the static isn't present using the onboard audio.
Specs:
For the past few days I've been searching all over, but haven't found a solution and since the static isn't always present I'm not sure if it's driver related or simply a bad card.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

So far I have tried the following
■ 3 different PCI-e slots
■ different system
■ standard drivers
■ unified drivers
■ onboard device disabled and uninstalled
■ different headphones
