GTX 970 would be slightly slower, but it is still the better choice, lower power consumption, less heat, more OC headroom, newer architecture = more features.

Either is overkill for 1080p gaming to be honest, when I read the title, I was going to suggest a GTX 760, R9 270 or R9 270X, but out of the video cards you listed, I'd personally go with the GTX 970.
Out of those choices, I'd go with the 970.
With the SLI 760s, you will only have access to 2GB VRAM... and you will have to deal with the added "headaches" of multiple GPUs.
