What is the "best" thermal paste for i7 5930k?

Solution
Best Buy does not sell thermal paste. They sell (mostly) crap at inflated prices.

Places like Micro Center and Fry's Electronics should have thermal paste, but not necessarily the Liquid Ultra.

But like the article says, it's more important to apply a paste properly than the type/brand/etc. I think if you pick up a tube of Arctic Silver 5 you should be plenty happy.
Well, I haven't tried 39 different thermal compounds so I'm only going on what I've tried.

But yes, for that one chart the Liquid Ultra is the best, but the other charts give different pieces to the puzzle.

I think the first paragraph of the conclusion sums it up best: "In the end, it doesn't necessarily matter how much you paid for your paste, or what thermal conductivity its manufacturer claims on the package. More important is the how: your application method makes or breaks this process."

I see. It says only 3 left in stock on Amazon and is not eligible for Amazon Prime :( Do you know if they sell it at best buy or something? I can't have it arrive after Christmas.

Edit: If not, I guess I'll use other ones that's Prime eligible, oh well.

Best Buy indeed will have thermal paste but only of one brand which I believe it starts with a D, Dynex? There was a point I needed to test a questionable CPU and needed thermal paste ASAP. So I went to Best Buy and they had Dynex Thermal Paste. I can't say it's good but they have it. You're obviously looking for the "best" so don't even think of Best Buy.

Prolimatech's PK-3 seems like a good one. Like people said it's more important on how properly you apply the paste, the amount used, and then how firmly/properly you seat/install the heatsink/cooler. Each thermal paste will perform close to each other when applied correctly but the good ones will perform well even when installation goes a little wrong. In one review Tuniq TX-4 had a smaller temp difference between good applications and bad applications. Prolimatech's PK-1 has a 1-5C higher temp with a bad application but with a decent/good application 1-5C lower temp. Same with Phobya HeGrease and Thermalright Chill Factor 3. PK-3 performs 3-5C better than PK-1 I think so I prefer PK-3, I shouldn't really be saying anything though because I've only used Arctic Silver 5 and Arctic Silver Ceramique 2 so far.
