Hello
I just finished installing my new GTX 760 and then installed the drivers that came with it and first thing i did is test it on BF4.
It didn't go so well, 20-30 fps on Ultra and 40 fps on Low. I saw videos of people playing it on ultra with around 60 fps. It should go to more then 100 fps on low!
So i tried downloading the latest drivers from NVIDIA and restarted and still the same or worse results. Then i tested it on Watch_Dogs, around 3-20 fps with High Textures and settings. I should be able to run it at ultra as this version of the card has 4GB memory.
I am so confused, It installed like 4 programs with a lot of settings i'm afraid to touch.
Any help?

List your full system specs... Did you properly wipe the original drivers? BTW you should always install drivers from the manufacturers website. If you starting fresh install Nvidia experience and it will update the drivers for you as new ones roll out.

Alright well you guys are quick.
Intel Core i7-870
Asus GTX 760 4GB
8GB Ram 1333
Asus P7H55-M LX
2TB HDD 5400
Cooler Master B700

Currently i have an old monitor with a resolution of 1366x768

I think i removed my old drivers corectly, uninstalled the Amd control thing from control panel.
Anything else i need to do?

When you played BF4 was it online or during campaign?
Have you tested any other games?
Did you play BF4 with your old GPU?

Can you tell us CPU load while playing BF4 online please?
MY guess is your CPU, it has about the same performance as FX-6100. Will struggle during online play

I play Online. 40-50 fps with my old HD 5750 on low.
Watch Dogs is the only other game i tested it with. Horrible performance.
It can't be my processor, it's really not a bad one. Last time i checked was with my old GC around 40% usage.
I will recheck tomorrow morning as it's kinda late today.

Oh and this graphics card has an LED light that stays green if low load, yellow on medium, and red on high load. It never went past green for me so i'm assuming it's not utilising it's full power.

I really doubt it's a faulty GPU. Probably just not configured properly as, as i said there were just so many options i got confused and didn't touch anything. I'll try to remove any ASUS related sotware and only keep the NVIDIA experience. Hell maybe it'll fix itself overnight. I'll further investigate tomorrow and report back.

I fixed absolutely nothing. I realized the AMD drivers were not fully uninstalled for some reason so i fully uninstalled them and nothing. Tried launching BF4 from NVIDIA Experience which is suggesting i should run at Ultra with an even Higher resolution, and same fps. On low i have the same fps i had with my HD 5750 45-60. I am beyond confused right now.
Also CPU usage stays at around 35-40% so it is definitely not bottlenecking.
Please some help! What should i try?

Update: Tried everything i can possibly think of with no results. The card led does change to yellow/redish on BF4 but the fps is still not great. Maybe it needs to settle for a couple of days before it reaches full potential?

Alright. i have officially tried Everything, including removing 4gb of ram because i read somewhere that the motherboard may get confused because of the 4gb on the graphics card but, yeah no change.
Please for the love of god what the heck is the problem here.

FIXED
Did a clean install of the Beta Drivers and it magically got fixed. :S Thanks all for the suggestions!

Remember when i said FIXED? Well...
The fps on BF4 was great for 15 minutes until the same thing happened again. It wasn't the drivers.
I think it's my CPU cooler. While playing BF4 the CPU stayed on 95+ Degrees!
Do you think that's the problem?

Sorry guys forgot to tell you that i fixed the problem. It was the CPU overheating. Bought a Corsair H75 and the CPU now stays around 50c on max load and the fps problem is gone. I actually still had some problems, the fps going from 100fps to 30 for around 5 secs and going back up. That was the Intel Speedstep Technology which apparently lowers the cpu speed to save power. Turned that off on the bios and now everything is working flawlessly! Stable 50-70fps on Ultra in BF4 and 35-50 on Watch_Dogs on ultra textures and settings. Thanks all for your suggestions!
